A Levantine alcoholic spirit in the anise drinks family. It is a clear, colorlesss, and unsweetened anise-flavored distilled drink. It is the traditional alcoholic beverage of the Arab world.

Muddle strawberries with the brown sugar in the bottom of a shaker tin. Add the remaining ingredients and shake with crushed ice. Pour everything into a rocks glass and add more crushed ice to top. Garnish with a mint sprig and serve with a straw.
