Reef Break

1.75 oz
A distilled beverage composed primarily of water and ethanol, sometimes with traces of impurities and flavorings. It can be made from grain, potatoes, rice, beans, beets, fruit or even wood; 40% ABV.
1 oz
The driest and lightest of the traditional sherry varieties. They are consumed young and shortly after opening the bottle; within a few hours they start to lose flavor.
0.25 oz
A dark rum distilled in Guyana, with a more heavy bodied molasses flavor and darker color. This is a rare variety of rum, if a recipe calls for demerara rum it may only be referring to a dark colored rum, not specifically a Guyanan rum.
1 tsp
A sweetened liqueur made from passion fruit produced in France and Brazil; 14-19% ABV.
1 tsp
A concentrated syrup made from sugar water and cinnamon bark. You can make this yourself by adding a few cinnamon sticks to your simple syrup making process. We always use 1:1 syrup unless otherwise noted in the recipe itself.
1 twist
A hybrid citrus fruit originating in Barbados as an accidental cross between two introduced species, sweet orange and pomelo. Like other citrus fruits the grapefruit is popular among cocktails for its peel and juice.

Stir all the ingredients over ice, then strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass. Express the grapefruit twist over the drink and discard. #stir #straight

“I love Martinis that have a fruit element to them (see Al Sotack’s Bikini Kill), and I wanted to do something in a similar vein. This style of drink can be a challenge with guests, because it looks more approachable on paper than in the glass, but we love them (the fruity Martinis and the guests) all the same.” -Tyson Buhler
