Sidecar, Blood Orange

1.5 oz
A brandy produced in the wine-region surrounding Cognac, France. Cognac must be twice distilled and aged for at least two years in French oak.
0.75 oz
A citrus juice from the red colored blood orange. Its characteristic color forms when the orange develops in low temperatures during the night. Its flavor is deeper and more raspberry-like than regular oranges.
0.5 oz
A blood orange flavored liqueur, can be substituted in cocktails for orange liqueurs.
1 dash
A concentrated aromatic bitters made in Trinidad from water, ethanol, gentian and other herbs and spices; used in many classic cocktails like the Manhattan.

Shake all ingredients, except the bitters, over ice. Strain into a cocktail glass. Add a dash of bitters on top. #shake #straight

Try replacing the brandy with bourbon too.
